In both my ceramic work and paintings, connections between what are often random images play between artistic choices and literal relationships: sometimes they are thematically linked, sometimes they are linked by shape or texture.

Repeating images create movement and a discovered negative space, which has become more and more important in my work. I am interested in ways I can eclipse recognizable images with pattern, color and pattern and color.
